Foundations of Global Health 2
This course introduces students to the world of global health project proposal design. Students develop a proposal that is responsive to the specific needs of a target population in thematic areas linked to the critical policy analysis of Foundations 1. The proposals address specific problems and must meet the strict criteria for project proposals as defined by funding agencies.
Course Format
- Simulating a call for proposals, students are invited to submit a project proposal to a funding agency, using real life formats such as Letter of Interest, Logical Framework, Risk Register and Budgeting.
- As in Foundations of Global Health 1, they work in self-directed online groups with six students from different universities, with support from a tutor.
- The process is supported by online lectures.

“Taking the Foundations of GH 2 course has tremendous benefits. Having skills on grant proposal writing is in demand in the public health field, in both the public and private sectors, and I can testify to that.”
