I’ve really enjoyed the Global Health Master’s Programme at Maastricht University. Building on my bachelor’s in Public Health, it has been invaluable in broadening my understanding of health to a truly global level, far beyond a narrow focus on diseases. I particularly appreciated the discussions on health in relation to equity and climate change, which moved well beyond medical and technical perspectives. The programme challenged us to examine the root causes of problems and to understand the importance of framing, an essential skill when working on health in a political context. In addition, the opportunity to participate in a semester with universities around the world, attend a symposium before even graduating, and collaborate with students globally has truly made it an unique programme.
